On March 4, 2023, EPPC’S policy analyst Clare Morell joined the Texas Public Policy Foundation on a panel to discuss the threats and harms that impact culture from social media.

The excessive use of social media presents unique harms to children online including depression, addiction, exploitation, self-harm, and suicide. Panelists discuss whether Texas should treat social media platforms like harmful products and prohibit companies from granting access to children. Panelists include: The Hon. Zach Whiting, Clare Morell and State Rep. Jared Patterson

Clare Morell is a Policy Analyst at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, where she works on EPPC’s Technology and Human Flourishing Project. Prior to joining EPPC, Ms. Morell worked in both the White House Counsel’s Office and the Department of Justice, as well as in the private and non-profit sectors.
