On November 23, 2021, EPPC Distinguished Senior Fellow George Weigel, an internationally-acclaimed biographer of Pope John Paul II, appeared on the Poland-based English-language program “The First News” to discuss his memories of the Polish Pope and to share some fascinating archival photos from the late pope’s life. Mr. Weigel speaks about John Paul II’s role in the downfall of Communism, what shaped his personality, as well as amusing anecdotes like what he said when he met singer Bob Dylan.
