Policy Changes for the New Congress

November 22, 2010 | American Enterprise Institute

On November 22, 2010 EPPC Fellow James C. Capretta participated in a public forum in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the American Enterprise Institute and National Review Institute entitled “Policy Changes for the New Congress.” Mr. Capretta participated in a panel discussion on what the new Congress should do about health care in the United States. Kate O’Beirne of National Review Institute moderated the panel, and Mr. Capretta was joined in offering comments by Ramesh Ponnuru of National Review and Scott Gottlieb, MD of AEI. Mr. Capretta’s remarks focused on why it is so important for the new 112th Congress to repeal the health care law enacted by the 111th Congress, focusing specifically on the damage the new law will bring to the economy and the quality of American medicine. The event was recorded and shown on C-SPAN; the full video for the panel can be found here. Full details on the event are available here.
