New EPPC Investigation Reveals Contradictory Family and Abortion Policies at Fortune 100 Companies

(Washington) — A new investigative report by Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) scholars Alexandra DeSanctis and Nathanael Blake offers a detailed analysis of each Fortune 100 company’s family, parental leave, and abortion policies. Its findings are clear: major American corporations have a long way to go to truly support the mothers and fathers in their workplaces.

“This report showcases that while some corporations have come a long way in offering support and flexibility to employees with children, the largest American businesses have a misguided view of how to integrate parents, especially mothers, into the workforce in a way that respects human dignity.” – Alexandra DeSanctis

Walmart, Amazon, Apple, Google…The report provides details of the family and abortion policies at each company including parental leave, IVF, surrogacy, adoption costs, abortion travel, and the transparency of their programs to potential employees.

Corporations attract and retain good employees by offering competitive salaries and expansive benefits packages. For many workers, benefits related to family and parenthood are among the most important, making this report all the more critical to American workers.

The report closes with a summary of all 100 companies’ benefits and provides a rating for the transparency of each company’s policies.
