Media Advisory: Press conference on objections to HHS proposed Title X rule funneling money to abortion providers

On Monday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m. ET, EPPC will host a virtual press conference with leading advocates to discuss proposed action by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to overturn Title X regulations promulgated under Trump that require physical and financial separation between abortion activities and Title X projects. The proposed rule under Biden would funnel hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to abortion providers, and require and coerce Title X providers into counseling on and referring for abortion as a method of family planning. A broad coalition of advocates (see partial list below) are submitting public comments objecting to the proposed rule by HHS. The public comment period closes Monday, May 17.
