He is the lead author of the largest-known study of the abortion pill, which discovered that nearly 11 percent of women experience sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging, or another serious adverse event within 45 days following a mifepristone prescription. This real-world finding, based on insurance claims data from 865,000+ abortions performed in the United States from 2017 to 2023, exposed that mifepristone is more than 22 times as harmful to women as is acknowledged on the FDA-approved drug label. The report was one of the most highly publicized and politically influential think tank papers of 2025, prompting HHS Secretary Kennedy to order the FDA to conduct a comprehensive safety review of mifepristone.

Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in applied mathematics (with a specialization in economics) and a Master of Arts in statistics, both from Harvard University.
He began his career in the George W. Bush Administration, where he served with the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Council, and the Council of Economic Advisers. He has also worked in business as a forecaster and a consultant.
For nearly a decade prior to joining EPPC in 2024, Jamie researched a wide range of issues at the Heritage Foundation. His response to false accusations of “extreme poverty” in the United States was cited by our delegation to the United Nations. His analysis of the expected net cost of “Medicare for All” to the typical American family was featured on Fox News. He successfully advocated that the first Trump Administration strengthen work requirements for food stamp recipients. He submitted several unique, data-driven public comments that slowed undesirable Biden Administration regulations.
Jamie was born and raised in Kentucky. His wife, Olivia, is a native of South Korea and a naturalized U.S. citizen. They have three sons and one daughter and reside in Virginia.
