EPPC Earns Highest Charity Rating

June 1, 2013

We are pleased to report that Charity Navigator, America’s largest charity evaluator, has awarded the Ethics and Public Policy Center its highest rating of four stars. As Charity Navigator’s president put it in a letter to EPPC President Ed Whelan:

We are proud to announce Ethics and Public Policy Center has earned a 4-star rating. Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Approximately a quarter of the charities we evaluate have received our highest rating, indicating that Ethics and Public Policy Center outperforms most other charities in America. This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Ethics and Public Policy Center from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.

In response to the rating, Mr. Whelan said, “We’re committed to give our supporters maximum policy bang for their buck. Charity Navigator’s ‘exceptional’ rating of EPPC is yet another indication that we’re delivering on that commitment.”
