On April 25, 2012 EPPC Fellow James C. Capretta participated in a panel on “The Future of Medicare: A Reality Check” at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. Medicare chief actuary Richard Foster discussed the findings of this year’s Medicare trustees’ report and a panel discussion followed to debate the implications of these findings. Mr. Capretta focused his remarks on the $8.1 trillion Medicare double count in Obamacare.
