On May 16th, 2012 EPPC Fellow James C. Capretta participated in a Senate HELP Committee hearing on “Identifying Opportunities for Health Care Delivery System Reform: Lessons from the Front Line.” Mr. Capretta focused his remarks on the inefficiencies of the Medicare fee-for-service program, the lack of true “delivery system reform” in the 2010 health care law, and the potential for a functioning marketplace to deliver higher-quality and lower-cost patient care.
