EPPC Senior Fellow Henry Olsen provided the opening remarks for a book forum held at the American Enterprise Institute featuring Robert Litan of Bloomberg Government and Carl Schramm of Syracuse University, who charted a multifaceted policy path toward entrepreneurial growth, with Schramm emphasizing that Americans are fearful of growth. Basing their remarks on their just-released book “Better Capitalism: Renewing the Entrepreneurial Strength of the American Economy,” the two former Kauffman Foundation leaders clarified the importance of entrepreneurial activity in the economy. Litan highlighted the degree to which that activity has suffered since the financial crisis.
