The #MeToo movement has generated widespread outrage over sexual harassment and the culture that condoned it. More broadly, it has prompted new questions about related harms to women and whether those harms share a common root in the sexual revolution.

The current cultural moment, then, calls for a thoughtful look at the promises—and consequences—of the sexual revolution.
