On Thursday, February 27, 2014, join leading Members of Congress and policy experts for a conference about the future health reform that puts the American people in control of health care and coverage decisions.
Health Solutions Conference
Thursday, February 27, 2014
8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
National Press Club Ballroom
529 14th Street NW
Washington, D.C.
The morning discussion panel will include the following confirmed speakers:
Rep. Diane Black
Rep. Michael Burgess
Rep. Tom Price
Rep. Phil Roe
Senator Richard Burr
Other pending invitations include:
Senator John Barrasso
House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan
The second panel will feature EPPC Senior Fellow James C. Capretta and other health policy experts who will explain how market-based solutions can make care and coverage more affordable, allow a choice of doctors and plans, provide security, and assure protection for those with pre-existing conditions.
And during the luncheon program, journalist Ezra Klein and Avik Roy, opinion editor of Forbes and Manhattan Institute senior fellow, will debate and discuss the major health policy issues they foresee in the 2014 and 2016 elections.
The conference will explore fresh ideas for health reform around a new vision — one aligned with a 21st century economy in which the American people, rather than government bureaucracies — have greater control over health care, health coverage, and health spending decisions.
Co-sponsoring organizations include: American Action Forum, the American Enterprise Institute, the Ethics and Public Policy Center, the Galen Institute, The Heritage Foundation, the Independent Women’s Forum, the Institute for Policy Innovation, the Manhattan Institute, the National Center for Policy Analysis, and the Pacific Research Institute.
