VIDEO: Mary Hasson at UN Panel on Valuing Unpaid Work and Caregiving

March 15, 2019 | United Nations

On March 15, 2019, EPPC Kate O’Beirne Fellow Mary Rice Hasson appeared on a United Nations panel discussing how valuing unpaid work and caregiving is more than a question of “uncompensated labor” but one that involves human dignity, the dignity of work, the importance of the family as a basic unit of society and school of virtue, and the principle of subsidiarity. Catherine Pakaluk and Andrea Piciotti -Bayer, members of the Catholic Women’s Forum directed by Mrs. Hasson, appeared on the panel as well.
