August 19, 2010 | Americans for Tax Reform

On August 19, 2010 EPPC Fellow James C. Capretta participated in a public forum sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform entitled, “Cost of Government Day.” According to a report prepared by ATR for the event, it took until August 19th this year for the average taxpayer to earn enough wages to pay for all of the taxes and regulations imposed by government. Mr. Capretta’s presentation focused on the massive new costs that will be imposed on taxpayers in future years from the recently enacted health care law.
