Why the Obama Health Law Is Not Entitlement Reform
Start:  Thursday, July 15, 2010  10:30 AM
End:  Thursday, July 15, 2010  12:00 PM

EPPC Fellow Jim Capretta presented a paper at a Capitol Hill event on July 15, 2010. The paper and event were sponsored by the Galen Institute, and Congressman Paul Ryan, the Ranking Member of the U.S. House Committee on the Budget, delivered opening remarks at the session. Mr. Capretta's paper details how President Obama's health plan will make the entitlement and budget crisis worse, not better, and argues that the consumer-driven reform proposal put forward by Congressman Ryan (the "Roadmap") is the way to push the health sector to deliver better care at less cost.

Mr. Capretta's paper is available here. Read an article for National Review Online based on the paper here. A webcast of the event is available here.
