EPPC Welcomes Visiting Fellow Michael Casey of Australia

Dr. Michael Casey of Sydney, Australia, has joined EPPC as a Visiting Fellow in order to undertake research into the relationship between religion and ideology in modern democratic politics. “We’re delighted to have Michael with us in D.C. while he continues his research,” said EPPC President Ed Whelan.

Since 1997 Dr. Casey has been Private Secretary to His Eminence Cardinal George Pell, the Catholic Archbishop of Sydney.He serves as Permanent Fellow in Sociology and Politics at the Australian session of the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and the Family, and is also a member of the board of Campion College, Australia’s first Catholic liberal arts college.
